Avery Carrig graduates in architecture – May 2012
On May 8, 2012 we traveled to New York City to attend the first college graduation of a grandchild ! Avery Carrig completed a 5 year course at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture.
The graduation of 1400+ students took place at Radio City Music Hall. The stage inside the music hall had large screens on either side which displayed closeups of the speakers and each of the students as they were awarded their degrees.
Avery received a Bachelor of Architecture. Here she is with friend Michelle after the ceremony.
Our evening began with a cocktail at the Renaissance Hotel and finished at the Print Restaurant on 11th avenue which included Joan Carrig and friends Michelle and Katey. Before heading back to our hotels we visited the roof of the Print Restaurant for this spectacular view and a rooftop photo of the graduate with her parents.
