A week in Sedona, Arizona – November 2012

Sedona-8

Bebe, Howie, Dana & Claude flew to Phoenix, then drove to Sedona Springs Resort for a week-long hiking vacation. On our first day we visited , mile-high Jerome, Arizona. Leslie joined us early on day two when we explored the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in Sedona which included lunch at El Rincon (with Negro Modelo for the boys).

Our first hike that afternoon was on the west fork of Oak Creek Trail. We did lots of looking up.

We later endured a hard sell timeshare pitch which earned us a jeep tour the following day with lots more photo ops. This eagle’s ? head was sculpted by wind and rain. The photo above was taken at the top of our journey.

We opted for a hike on Mund’s Wagon Trail on day four where our photos included all kinds of cactus and a flood wash.

On day five we went to Africa ! The “Out of Africa Wildlife Park” is the closest I have ever come to seeing all these animals in a natural habitat. Here are some more – and even more !

Leslie took an early flight home the next day and the rest of as tackled another hike below Cathedral Rock for our last full day in Sedona.

Bebe located the fabulous Musical Instruments Museum in Phoenix for a visit before our morning flight home.

We returned home with almost 200 photos which were edited and used to produce 19 pages in our album. I have chosen 19 from those pages for display here.
